Thesis
Format: The graduate thesis project spanned two semesters. In the first semester the research evolved and culminated in an 80 page written deliverable including a projected proposal for the following semester. The proposal was articulated in the second semester as a design project, which continually responded to the prior semester’s research.
Portions of the research paper have been provided. The full book is available upon request.
My thesis came about with a desire to position myself to understand the space between thinking and action, as I want to become an architect who comprehends how to conduct actions that represent my aspirations and values.
I want to better understand the context within which architecture exits as it pertains to contemporary theory and approach in order to ascertain the role I have to engage that information. I search for the productive space between writing and architecture through contemporary strands with which I identify.
